Healthy Balanced Meals

Home cooked meals made on site from fresh local ingredients are at the centre of our food offering to your child. Breakfasts, morning fruit, a hearty hot lunch, afternoon tea and dinner are alll prepared on site by our amazing cook Sarah.

Purpose built for us, the Pear Tree Kitchen is fully equipped kitchen to provide everyone with a healthy and balanced diet. A weekly food menu is displayed on the notice board as you enter the nursery. If your child needs a specialised diet for any reason we can cater for them no problem!

Meals are served in the main nursery room and every child is encouraged to use the cutlery provided and interact with the other children. The food is presented in serving bowls for each individual table so the children can self-select. We rarely have leftovers.

If your baby is having pureed foods or you have started weening onto solids - we can help with that. Sarah prepares all of our baby food as well, ensure you know exactly what they eating is good for them.

We are proud to say we have a food hygiene rating of 5 stars (the highest anyone can get) and love to see full bellies and empty plates.

Ruby really likes the new storytime corner for hiding and playing in. Feels like a basecamp. She loves the decking area because you can go out and play even if the grass is muddy. She really likes the crafting activities with glitter and glue. She often talks about books at nursery which are different to our books from home and enjoys talking about which of her friends favour particular books. She adores the toy dog 'Pippin' and often has stories about playing with it with Gemma or Sarah. Her other favourite toys at nursery are a box that you have of ex-display mobile phones because they look so real and "really grown up". Thanks for all your hard work.
