Pirbright Day Nursery is based within the Primary School in Pirbright Village, nestled between Farnborough, Woking and Guildford.
Based at the front of the school we can easily been seen from the main road. We take children from two years until they leave for school after their fourth birthday – many go directly into the school we are based in, friends they make in our nursery could be friends for life.
Children are welcomed into our bright and airy entrance where they can store their belongings on their personal coat peg and bag hook. Parents can view the day board to see what activities are planned for the day ahead and there is a large notice board with staff photographs, menus and all our legal bits and pieces.
We have 2 main rooms at Pirbright Day Nursery. The largest room is full of educational and exciting things to choose from; from jigsaw puzzles to Lego to having fun with Bob the Builder on our web safe PCs, the children have the freedom to self-select. The children also have access to a wide range of painting, sand, water and other art materials. We’ve even been known to do a bit of baking, sending your child home with a delicious cake or freshly baked bread roll for your tea. While playing we have a snack bar available with fresh fruit and veg on hand to help fuel their imaginations.
The reading room is through a doorway adjoining the main room. Here the children can snuggle up on large soft rugs and bean bags while looking at and reading a variety of books both on their own (while still supervised) for some quiet time and with our members of staff.
The main room leads out on to our large outdoor space and our covered decking area, allowing for outdoor play all year round. On the decking there is a replica of all the equipment offered within the main building, a real outdoor classroom complete with a gardening area.
We are lucky to have full access to the schools large 36 acre site, giving us ample opportunity to experience the large grassed field for ball games (and forward rolls down the hill), a wooded area to forage in and many varied wooden fitness structures.
From our excited scream filled sports days in the summer to our tear jerking carol concerts in the winter you really need to see all we offer year in year out for yourself. Fill in the contact form below and we’ll be in touch!
The garden at Pear Tree was a big influence in my decision to join my son. It's well laid out with many different activities, includes real grass and mud and only a small area of concrete for wheeled sit-on toys..it is not meant to be a school playground after all, more a home from home environment in my view. I would highly recommend this setting, I have only ever heard very positive feedback from ex-Pear Tree parents also.
