We hope you are looking for unrivaled caring childcare in Farnbrough? Congratualtion - you've found it
Let us tell you about us, Pebbles Day Nursery on Prosect Avenue has been part of Pear Tree Childcare for 6 years. We are situated in a modern, purpose built building on the front of the Farnborough 6th Form College campus. Currently we can look after children from three months until they leave for school after their fourth birthday. We have two main playrooms at Pebbles Day Nursery, one for the babies and another for the toddlers and older children.
Your child will be educated in play based learning, Pebbles Day Nursery follows the Curiosity Approach method of learning, the nursery is packed with open end resources to insprie and make little minds inqusitive to the wider world. The dedicated baby room is fully equipped to deal with everything the under twos can (quite literally at times) throw at us. With staff ratios of 3:1 it’s a safe and hygienic environment to enable feeding and floor play in one area. With open access to a private decking area - fresh air and fun is just a crawl away.
What about weaning? We've got that covered. Fresh, home-made food is prepared on the premises and made palatable for whatever stage of weaning your child is at - we're experimenting at present with solid weaning, give us a call for more information. The baby room has a vast array of equipment and learning aids on which we vary every day to stimulate and entertain your child from day one. The babies also have their own dedicated sleep room with their own full sized comfy cots - we also have low access self sleep bunks to aid independance. The nappy change is also in a separate room allowing changing to be done privately and safely.
Pre School / Early Years
The Curiosity Approach continues in the pre school room, which is our largest room looking after just 16 children. It's full of educational resources and exciting things to choose from, wooden puzzles and blocks, home corner, reading den and much more - take a look at our video's, they explain everything in pictures. We have a twice daily self service snack bar available with fresh fruit and veg on hand to fill up between meals.
Your child will enjoy getting messy and creative with a wide range of painting, sand, water and other art materials - we do all those things you don't want to do at home. We’ve even been known to do a bit of baking - sending your child home with a delicious cake or freshly baked bread roll for your tea.
Your child will have lots of access to the outside and the elements - remember dancing in the rain and sploshing in puddles? All rooms lead out to our large covered decking area, allowing for outdoor play all year round. On the decking we have a multitude of activities including a home corner, the opportunity to become a pirate, a princess or even a princess pirate with our ever growing dressing up box, more open ended resources, a growing area where we like to nurture seeds into fully grown plants and a large sit in and explore sandpit. New for Summer 2017 is our garden extention, check out the blog for more news on this.
Your child will have fully supervised access to the college’s large fifty acre site. Giving them and us ample opportunity to experience the large grassed field for ball games and wander in the private woods.
We want the best for your child, as you do. If you think we can help raise your loved one please fill in the contact form below and we’ll be in touch!
Food and diet are also really important to me, so it is lovely to see that Pear Tree Day Nursery take care and consideration is given to planning the meals and the variety of meals which are freshly cooked for the children. I have a child who has sometimes been a little reluctant to join in some activities, but the staff have gently encouraged him and now he has a real pride in showing the things he has done on display or bringing them home.
